The Medical Assistant (MA) program provides students the necessary knowledge and skills to perform routine administrative duties such as answering telephones, greeting patients, updating and filing patients' medical records, filling out insurance forms, writing correspondences, scheduling appointments, and handling billing and bookkeeping.

The Medical Assistant (MA) program also prepares the students to be able to perform clinical skills such as taking medical histories, recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during the examination, collect and prepare laboratory specimens or perform basic laboratory tests such as urine or blood, and arrange the instruments and/or equipment to be used for the patients examination.
